Welcome!

Hello! If you have arrived here, welcome and hope you enjoy seeing the life and times of Vivienne Ava.

Vivienne was born on Monday, May 2nd at 5:24pm. She weighed in at a gigantic 6 pounds, 13 ounces. Her length was 20.5 inches.

(Mommy and Vivienne)

Talk about a big surprise, I was only 37 weeks and 2 days. The previous day, Sunday, I had gotten a belly blessing from a wonderfully talented lady, Anju Garg. Little did I know that blessing would pay off early the next morning.

(Little does Mom and Dad know I am planning my great escape tomorrow!)

My water broke that Monday morning around, 5:45am. After being admitted within the hour, I was given pitocin to speed up my contractions and boy did it work!

After enduring an hour of contractions due to a failed epidural, the second attempt kicked in and it was kittens and unicorns. Let me tell you, I have EXTREME respect for any women out there who went through natural childbirth (my Mom included.) I thought I was going to die. I would never wish that kind of pain on anyone.

After my best friend, the epidural, began to work its magic, I quickly dilated from 5-10 cm under 2 hours and it was push time. An hour of pushing was well worth the effort, as my sweet Vivienne made her entrance into this world. I'll never forget first seeing her beautiful face on my chest and those eyes looking up at me. Truly the most precious experience of my life.

But back to the star of the show...

(My homecoming outfit is too small guys... Expecting a much fatter baby Mommy? Showed you!)
